I heard about this place a while ago and brushed it off because I don't need to go to a restaurant to buy a carrot. However, I went there with a friend last week and had an amazing time and basically ate my words. Initially their gimmick annoyed me but you can really tell that they genuinely use high-quality ingredients and think a lot about their recipes because, though simple, the food and drinks were absolutely delicious. A bit expensive like a lot of Detroit coffee shops, but certainly not the worst I've seen. We got a Matcha and avocado toast and very delicious chocolate chip cookie. Try to go on a weekend because there is a bakery next-door that sells incredible bread. The only thing that I didn't like that the location is very small and the inside is not super cozy so it's not really the type of place you could go and work out for a day. But it is great for coffee with friends or a date or a light brunch. I am coming back for that avocado toast! Staff were all very nice as well.

Tucked away off of Grand River, Cafe Prince brings fresh to another level - there's even raw carrots if you wish to take some home. They offer juice and meals that highlight the veggies that they use. I just hopped in for a coffee and got the maple shakerato and it was so yummy. Not overly sweet and not bitter by any means, and already made with a milk alternative (i think coconut). The staff is super friendly and the vibes are so great. The inside isn't too large, but the courtyard is a great spot to enjoy any bevy made at cafe prince.
I stopped in today while running errands in the area and was delighted by the experience! I initially walked in planning on getting some coffee but the menu of juices sounded so enticing I couldn't help but get one instead. I ordered one of the seasonal specials, the Forbidden Fruit, a delicious mix of fresh pomegranate juice, lemon, and basil with sparkling water. It was excellent. They also offer an array of vegetarian friendly eats like a variety of toasts topped with the likes of avocado, labneh, ricotta, etc. And snacks like a plate of apples, parmigiano reggiano, and honey. I look forward to coming back for a bite in the future! The space is so welcoming and the barista behind the counter was incredibly friendly. They were so kind and we had a lovely conversation as they were making my juice. All around a really wonderful experience at this new cafe in Core City. Highly recommended!
